Air moves under rotor's power under the cylindrical housing. It moves from around the suction point to the displacement point, where it gets compressed. Bearing compartments are placed on both sides of cylinder and the compartment has oil that is used to lubricate shaft axis and gearing. Due to special seals, the oil doesn't penetrate into the body, synchronous transmission zone and rotor landing slots.
